This project consumed me for several months. I had nightmares for weeks about it. Ezra wanted to have a living wall in his home that was in the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. We (Ryan and I) planted the succulent section 3 days before Sylvie Rue was born. I was so sore the next day it hurt to walk. The pothos were planted about 2 weeks after she was born (which was almost as painful after a c-section.) The timing on this project was horrible with a newborn, but I've been wanting to do one of these for years - since about 2006 when I saw one in the Bellagio in Vegas. Ezra gave me total design freedom. The bark section looks much better in the house than it does in the photos. To see how amazing Ezra's house turned out click here. I love everything about the home!
We have had some issues with irrigating and getting the timing down, but for our first wall I'd say not bad - not bad at all.

Raingutter Regatta
Oliver's first Raingutter Regatta. He carved, sanded, and painted it all my himself, no help from his Dad. Anyone who knows Oliver knows how competitive he is! He blew so hard and so much trying to speed his boat along that he passed out. Oliver loved it and he received the Best Craftmanship Reward.
Oliver's 9th Birthday
Spring Break
Over Spring Break the kids had a Lemonade Stand almost every day of the entire week of the break. They would hold up their little sign and YELL lemonade. It was so obnoxious, but somehow they managed to make money every time they did it, and they would split it up amongst all the neighborhood kids who helped yell.
Rat Tail
Have you ever thought - my child will never..... Well who knows if I ever really thought that about a rat tail haircut for my son, but I've honestly never liked them. At Christmas time I was cutting Oliver's hair and I thought it would be funny for him to have a rat tail. Uncle Chris (Ryan's bro - not Rozannah's significant other) at the time had something kind of like a rat tail, but not really. I had to talk Oliver into the hair cut. I told him we would cut it off in a couple of days. Well he grew attached to it and wouldn't let me cut it off. So a couple days turned into a couple of months. It took everything I had not to cut it off in his sleep. He finally let me cut it in April. We tried to make a deal with Lexi that if he cut it off then she had to cut her dread locks.......Lexi it's your turn now.

Going home!
Violette still calls her My Baby. Penelepe will correct Violette everytime telling her she is NOT HER baby - she is EVERYONES baby. The lights at home. She only had to use them for a day or so.

Reid Family Easter Party
So I don't know if its because I'm becoming more like my Dad and not wanting to celebrate the "traditions" of holidays or that I'm fat and lazy, but I really wasn't excited about an Easter Egg Hunt this year. Luckily for my kids they live close to their amazing Grandma DeEtte. Penelepe was on the count down for Grandma's party. She knows Grandma has the Best Parties.

Thanks Lindsay for all the pictures and sharing them!!!!
Grandma Pat helped the kids decorate cupcakes.

Sasha and Bankston waiting for their cupcakes.

Cute little EllyBug.

Grandma DeEtte also has the Best Easter Egg Hunts.

All the "Big Kids" were partnered with "Little Kids" in a random drawing of names, and all kids were partnered with their parents. Except for Oliver and Bankston lucked out and got Cash and Kenzie as their partners.

The Hunt was also indoors as well.
The best part about Grandma DeEtte's parties are her fabulous prizes.
AND at Grandma's egg hunts her eggs have $$$$ in them. Grandpa Rich counting out the dollars.
Ashley's money dance. Lucky. She got $10 in hers! ")
The kid's fabulous prizes.
